Custom Fields Question

Hi there! I am working with a premade theme that the original author is no longer responding to questions about (not that I blame them with V6 around the corner) and I was hoping someone here could give me a little help.

I have changed the custom fields in both the Custom Profile Field section and the Mini Profile section of the Layout Template. They show up in the profile to edit, but not in the mini profiles on posts.

I saw another member had a similar issue about three years ago and the amazing Brian Ordonez was able to give them a very quick fix by deleting a couple bits of code in the Summary tab in the User Profile section of the Layout Template. Link to old question in reference

jairinai, the theme you are using is highly customized and is not as simple to fix as the previous issue you referenced. It would require a complete reworking of the summary and mini-profile templates.

I'm moving this to the templates board should someone wish to take on this endeavor.

It looks like one of the variables in your if statement isn't spaced out correctly from the logical operators.

$[user.mini_custom_field.name] == "Throwing Weapons" ||$[user.mini_custom_field.name] == "Bonded to"

There needs to be a space between || and $[user.mini_custom_field.name] for the forum to interpret it correctly.

OMG Brian...you are the absolute best! I can't stress this enough. Thank you so much! I don't post questions very often because I usually find that you have answered it already for someone else, so it is kind of embarrassing that the two times I have asked my issues were of my own making haha, but you never fail to be my hero.  I would hug you if I could.
