This is my recruitment message. Our forum is in tandem with the game NationStates, and we are a region within the game. We have our own culture and community however, and I would love some feedback of people's first impressions on the forums and our recruitment letter.

What is Caer Sidi? 

We are growing community of inspired lore crafters, legislators, role players, and game players. Our focus is to build a home for those who need one and to build a relaxed but engaging region. Are your interests in legislation? Politics? Roleplay? Military affairs? Whether you prefer the thrill of debate, the excitement of a well told story, or just day to day interactions with friends, there is something here for everyone who enters. 

We are part of the game NationStates, but you don't have to play that game in order to join our forums, however we are always looking for new recruits and can explain the game to you if you would like.

Hello fellow roleplayer!
I will list my thoughts as I go and maybe they can be helpful to you.

1. There are too many words, both in your recruitment letter and when I first clicked to your site. It may SEEM welcoming to toss in words and info, but I think that can actually overwhelm the average RPer. I'd cut down on words and pick up the intrigue with an image that makes your viewer go "ooooh!". We are in a media-saturated culture that values beauty; take advantage of that.

2. You banner image, while helpful information about the world as a whole, does nothing to draw in the guest who has clicked to your site. I would replace that information with either just one big image with the wow factor, or else consider putting information up that is relevant to the writer while out of character, not in character.

3. The next place I clicked was your recent posts (my habit when I click onto a new site). Most of your recent posts are you guys playing games. I would make a valiant effort to rp more than OOC game playing. Personally, if I'm going to join a new site, I want to see that people are writing and it's active. It's an rper hobby to be "active" in an OOC way, but to barely post on sites. Just a thought!

4. Scrolling your boards from your home page, it looks to me as if the site is very well developed! Again, the issue is that the average rper won't care to see that; they want to see beauty and activity. I'd work on a new skin that encases your well-developed world in a way that is aesthetically pleasing.
