Are you talking about this component? It's only available on a few templates: Threads, Conversations, and Members. In order to show it in the navigation bar (on every page), the component variable would need to be available in the Forum Wrapper, which it is currently not. Or are you talking about the "Search" link the navigation?

Or are you talking about the "Search" link the navigation? I downloaded the simple search plugin and thats where it popped up in my navbar. I was hoping I could move it but when I went to forum settings and to navigation - which lets me move my other "tabs" around up there....it was there.... does that make sense

This plugin? support.proboards.com/thread/547874/It looks like you can place it using this snippet: <div class="simsearch"></div> Go to Admin > Themes > Layout Templates > Forum Wrapper. Find this line (line ~22): <p id="welcome"> Paste <div class="simsearch"></div> above that. We can use CSS to make further adjustments. For future reference, it would be helpful to link to the plugin you're asking about. I had to go and find that thread.
