A: No, should I? If so, is that done in the plugin or in each member's profile?

Q: I also just noticed that at the start of the Manticore thread you allowed the swarm to counter-attack, but with the new version of the plugin, the swarm cannot. Is this on purpose, another issue, or a mistake in how you have set up the plugin?
A: We used to let the creatures fight back in previous hunts, so when I started the Manticore thread, I changed nothing. But after I installed the new plugin version, I disabled that function, thinking that it was best to keep it as simple as possible until we have figured out the problem.

Do you have automatic admin access with your profile at Heretix or do you want me to add you to the guest admin group, so that you can adjust the plugin settings as you please?

Or should we do the trying and failing at Undergrowth?

If we do any live testing I think it should be at your test site. It would require pop-ups to show what was happening when during the running of the plugin and I doubt your members or you would want that to happen.

And no, I do not have admin access by default at any sites other than my own.

If you could reset the user_hits key, that would cover that possibility of causing issues, though I doubt it is the cause. It is done from the plugin list in your admin area, the third tab along the top is 'Keys'. click that, then scroll down until you find the key entitles 'user-hits'.. To the right you should se a blue 'Clear' link, click that and confirm, then go back and try the manticore thread again and see if you still get the same issue.

I got this mesage: "Your attack is devestating, killing 9 of the Manticore. 58 Manticore of the swarm remain."

Maybe that did the trick?

If you want to use the Undergrowth, just create a profile and add yourself to the group Developer. That should give you full admin powers on that forum.

Interesting..

It shouldn't make a difference because if you don't allow the creature to retalliate the plugin should ignore the member's key data.. But it obviously isn't doing that.

Hopefully this will allow you to use the plugin until I can figure out that strange anomoly.

Update Manticore: Several posts in a row with 5-9 hits, then 1 hit that wasn't subtracted from the total.

It seems to trip up only when you cause 1 damage, otherwise all works as it should. I haven't had a chance to look into it further over the past couple of days, but should be able to over the weekend.

Todge , thanks for not giving up on us!

I'll have a look into in on Monday evening. Tomorrow will be a very busy family day and on Monday, I first have to go to another city for cancer check, then back here for physio therapy. Sorry about that... 

PS We hit many creatures with almost every post now. Shouldn't become increasingly more difficult towards the end of the swarm? Just a thought.

It should get more difficult yes, and the amount of possible damage should reduce too, but to what extend depends on your settings. That side of the code should not be effected by these updates, so lets get this working first and if there is still an issue with strike rate we can look at that after.
