Nope, treat it exactly as the previous version.. The only difference with this one is that you can only attack or retreat using the Quick Reply, the normal Reply button has been removed to stop you trying. Once the creature has been killed the thread will revert to a normal thread as before, unless you resurrect the creature.

If you check the thread now, all the hit info in the posts is gone and nothing new appears when you click on Quick Reply, so maybe we need to start another thread before the new version works?

Todge, please disregard my last message! I forgot that I have to select boards for the creature to appear in. Now, everything is back.

But the Attack and Retreat buttons have returned, while a new page appears when you click Attack, where you have to confirm your choice.

It is probably meant that way, so if there are no more hiccups, I think we're good.

Yes, that is meant to happen.. It's an extra click to post, but hopefully that should stop almost any chance of the key data being overwritten erroneously, unless someone takes a while to confirm their action.

Yes, that is meant to happen.. It's an extra click to post, but hopefully that should stop almost any chance of the key data being overwritten erroneously, unless someone takes a while to confirm their action.

We'll give it some time to stabilise. If it slows down again, I'll adjust the key data settings, which have also reappeared.

Sorry to bother you again. but with just a few creatures left to kill, something happened again. I got
this essage from Lady Porthos four days ago:

Hey Tix...both yesterday and today I haven't been able to post in the "something lurking" thread. Each time I typed in my post, hit "attack" and it just stuck without registering the post. It's only that post, I've posted in everything else just fine, so I don't think it's on my end. Just thought I'd give you a heads up.

Since then, I've tried everything in my power to get it unstuck. When Ifirst checked, the hit rate showed 258%! So I set it back to 33 and has slowly increasef it while reducing the total number f ceatures like you showed me. I also increased th HP lives from 200 to 300 in the profiles of Lady Porthos, Joey12 and myself. But now, I think its time for you to have a closer look again.
