Sorry if the orientation is wonky. I bought a super scrabble board years ago and it has quadruple word score spaces. As you can see, we still have to unwrap some of the games Knightly Celt mentioned above.

I'm really into board games and go to a weekly night at a comic book store near me. Some of my favourites at the moment are Dune and Survive: Escape from Atlantis. Two player wise I have enjoyed Twilight Struggle.

I love the board game "Boggle." It's a lot of fun especially during these 'in home' times. I also love MONOPOLY!!!

I'll leave the 'why' to your imagination. Not-so-much for family night, though. How come there is NOT laugh Plugin on the support board.

My personal favorites are Settlers of Catan (original and expansions), Monopoly, Triopoly (similar to monopoly, but with 3 different board sizes, meant to be stacked on top of each other, with the free parking space being the bridge between the boards) and Sorry!

Is Triopoly as polarizing as Monopoly for people?

Is Triopoly as polarizing as Monopoly for people? Wouldn't know (don't know many people who bought it), but it has a literal lottery spot on the board, that gives or takes away 10x, 100x or 1000x the roll of the dice, based on which board you are on.

Just curious since I can't get people to play normal Monopoly with me.

I love boardgames, even now. My cousin had an entire pristine wardrobe just full of them and I was also envious of that because the family didn't have much interest in it, and I would have loved to play them. She was nice enough to play one with me now and again.
I can't list the ones I love because there are so many. I do play chess quite often though - apparently I've got a real talent for it as I'm rarely defeated. One of the few school events I got to participate in and was supported with was a chess tournament. I was one of 2 (or 3?) students from our school who were interested. I was the only girl, and the youngest. Other schools had dozens of players, which was unfair but it was either bad odds or don't enter.
Believe it or not, our school won. I was so proud of myself. One school had like a "champion" and I beat him. He was so mad lol. I got an award and everything. It wasn't until years later that I learned my father (who I almost never get to see - long story, not entirely his fault) is amazing at chess. We bonded over it, though it drove me crazy when I was younger because I 100% cannot beat him at chess lol. One day... I swear, I will win.
Anyway, sorry for the long post. But boardgames are just so underestimated imo. Also - when I was kid there was this boardgame in a reward room at school that I got to play sometimes but I have no idea what it is. Maybe one of you have heard of it? It's like a fairytale or enchanted forest thing. You go around a board and try to reach a plastic pine tree to check under it. I can't remember what's under it, but it has a similar concept to Clue where you go around to find clues and then make a guess/solve something at the end to win? I can't remember, but it was a ton of fun and I'd love to find it so I can get one.

Key to the Kingdom is my favorite. EDITED TO ADD: I know I already mentioned it but I like the game THAT much, that I'm putting it out there again. I also love card games like Pitch, 7Up, and Rummy. Would you count those as board games? Some do, some don't....

When we get together w/ my parents, we are always playing some kind of game. Right now we are into Uno, but we've played Fill or Bust, Set Back, Dominoes, etc. If it's just my mom & I, we are both into words so we do Upwords. My parents still have a vintage Go for Broke board game (opposite of Monopoly). & I do count card games as 'board' games in a way I too think games are underestimated. It's one thing playing online w/ a friend or stranger but it's another to get together for game night. The mood is way different.
