Mine are in no particular order: 1) Castle 2)The Mentalist 3) Star Trek Voyager 4) Star Trek Deep Space Nine 5) Star Trek The Next Generation. I can watch all these shows over and over again and never get bored because they had enticing and interesting storylines.

I never saw a minute of that when it was first run. I happened to see an episode after it went into syndication and I'm hooked. Another show I didn't see in first run was Monk. Love that one too.

Yeah I have all the Castle DVDs and just ADORE that show, LOL. BTW, if you like Castle, I highly recommend The Mentalist too. It's another of my favorite crime dramas of all time. Never watched Monk, but my friends love it, so I might give it a try at some point.

BTW, if you like Castle, I highly recommend The Mentalist too. It's another of my favorite crime dramas of all time. I'm not all that into the whodunit genre but the characters, their interaction, and the clever comedic banter on Castle resonates with me. I've become a fan of Nathan Fillion. I like the more flawed character he plays on The Rookie, but the slow development of the Castle/Beckett relationship really works. I'll make it a point to watch an episode or two of the Mentalist, but I don't expect to enjoy it based on it being a whodunit. Maybe if there's something about the character development or the underlying relationships between characters, though... Never watched Monk, but my friends love it, so I might give it a try at some point. Monk is first and foremost a comedy. But that's strategically woven into the fabric in a way that doesn't require a laugh track. The severe OCD displayed by Monk is completely implausible but Tony Shaloob sells it. Between the writing and his acting skill, you soon feel the character he portrays is genuine. If you like it, it probably won't be on the basis of the plot and twists as each story unfolds. They're okay, but what makes this special is Monk and the troubles associated with his relationship to the other characters. He's a genius but also clueless about the problems he causes for others around him.

You may need to watch Life On Mars first but this sequel is absolutely mind blowing. The soundtrack is second to none & the final episode has me in tears no matter how many times I watch it.

LOVED Life on Mars, but never quite managed to catch this sequel - I'd completely forgotten all about it until now, so definitely putting it next on the to-watch list.

I loved Castle until the final season where everything just went south. Do you have Netflix? Try iZombie. The lead is a zombie who ends up helping out the police force. Quirky and fun. We just started watching and see that there are 4 seasons! We're only on episode two, haha.

I don't have Netflix but will see about getting access to the show elsewhere.

They're okay, but what makes this special is Monk and the troubles associated with his relationship to the other characters. He's a genius but also clueless about the problems he causes for others around him. I don’t know that I’d agree with your assessment of the character. He knows his quirks cause problems for others, he just doesn’t particularly care. His OCD is so all-consuming in his life that, coupled with his general arrogance, he is incredibly self-centered and expects everyone else around him to conform and cater to his comfort. I do agree that the episode plots aren’t exactly stellar standouts, but one thing the writing has going for it is the way most episodes give you all the clues you need to solve the mysteries yourself, but only if you’re paying close attention. I always enjoyed trying to make note of the small details and throwaway lines, because that’s where the inconsistencies lie. Contrast this with The Mentalist or a fair chunk of Elementary, where the solutions are pulled out of thin air to make the protagonists seem like geniuses. A good mystery should never hide information from the audience for the sake of surprise—that’s just lazy writing, in my opinion.

Yeah, clueless is somewhat off. But I think his nearly complete lack of empathy is more the problem than arrogance. While he does know he causes problems, I think he can't understand why others make such a big deal out of something he believes they should see as minor inconveniences. Also, you can jump into the series at nearly any episode and enjoy it. But I think no one should ever see S1E16 without having seen a least a half dozen other episodes first. That one loses impact without greater context.

1. What is your favorite TV show? The Inbetweeners 2. If you could only pick one TV show forever, which one would it be and why? The Inbetweeners.
It just gets me every time. Most British sitcoms though.

Right now, if I could only watch one show, it would be Cobra Kai. I've rewatched it at least 10 times and never get tired of it. The energy I get from that show is amazing.

So....I know I'm weird, but...my favorite show of all time is Supernatural. Funny thing is....I'm not much of a horror person, but I love me some Dean, Sam, and Castiel, hahaha!
Even more weird (and probably pretty telling) is that the show I'd pick to have to watch for the rest of eternity would be Law & Order SVU. I'd also be happy with Law & Order CI. If neither of those...then....Forensic Files, lol.
