Hi everyone, not sure if this is the right subboard but I can't find the main monetary system plugin anymore. Its' companions are still available in the library but I can't find the actual monetary plugin
Would appreciate any info on this.

Is there another coder who is working on the Monetary System for v6? Along with the Stock Market section? I did ask this question awhile ago, just trying to stay on top of it.

My guess would be that a developer would want and need full access to v6 before committing to this project. Being an alpha tester here doesn't offer much help. I know that a developer once stated that the shop and monetary system were over 50,000 lines of code.

To add to what bigballofyarn stated above: as far as I know, Peter will be doing a V6 version of the Monetary System. However, regardless of who takes on that task, keep in mind that it will be practically impossible for a coder to get the entire plugin done ahead of time - unless PB releases any new default ID's/Classes that will be in use that replace the current ones - ahead of V6's launch. To note, though - do keep in mind that V5 and V6 will both be operative for 18 months after V6 goes live. That will give everyone time to continue to use their current plugins while plugin/theme authors (if they so choose) to update their codes for V6. As far as the Stock Market, I do recall that that was disabled due to the API that was used to become not available anymore. You'd have to ask Peter if there are any plans for a Stock Market option in V6.

V6 will pretty much mean almost all plugins will need updates, because the theme skeletons are built around certain classes. Peter is a very talented and very accomplished coder, so I can't imagine he wouldn't make a version of his monetary system. I just wonder if V6 will offer paid for features, because if they do, I'm pretty sure Peter deserves to be paid for that one.

The original thread announcing the starting work of V6, mentions the plans for the plugins and themes section: Best guess is that if Peter wants to switch it to purchasing it for the next version, for continued support of the time it takes to work on creating and updating it, then he would be allowed to charge through the plugin library if he so wishes.

If I recall correctly, I believe Peter said that there will a basic Monetary System that may remain free - but there'll be extras for it that may be pay. I think this may be true for the Monetary Shop (basic might be free, extras might be pay) as well. Of course, I could be wrong. Best wait to see if Peter wants to chime in 0 or maybe he'll just leave it as a surprise.
