is there maybe a guide somewhere? i would like to try and do it myself Not that i know of, but i was only going to provide an example. It is straightforward, but a little long winded. Once you have done it for one board, you should be fine. I've attached .txt with the code you need for each board and what you need to change. You just need to repeat the code for each board. If you need any clarification, just ask

There is an example in the .txt attached to my previous post which should hopefully help. Essentially, you are wanting to replace the default thread icon [ folder ] for your own images, and in each board. The if statements serve two purposes: 1. Checks which board the threads are loading in 2. Checks the status of the thread [ eg locked, or stickied] and shows the appropriate icon.

Where you have {if $[thread.board.id] == Reef Aquarium Discussion} that should be the board ID. You can find the board id url of the board. So the url of that board is: juriniai-akvariumai.boards.net/board/1/reef-aquarium-discussionThe ID of the board is what follows the /board/ which for that board is 1. {if $[thread.board.id] == 1}

Hello, Craig. I want something like this for a board on my forum, but all I want is a different icon for the 'New Posts' and 'No New Posts' icons instead of the default folder icons.
Could you please write me the code for that?
I've already uploaded the images I want.
Thank you.

PF, it would be better if you could start your own thread for this, like we ask others and is in our rules. However, if you are just changing the board icons, you can do that in your theme by going to Admin > Themes > Theme Manger, click on the theme name, then the Images tab. Find the Forum Icons section and either upload or link to the new images you wish to use.

I only see the code to replace 'sticky', 'locked', and 'announcement'.
Thanks.

PF, are you looking at the code that that Craig attached as a text document? If so, then the very last instance of $[theme.image.XX] would be the default folder. The new thread icon is not part of this code as I explained in your thread it is stylized text and not a graphic. It is not part of the folder icon set that appears in the column to the left of the thread title.

The new thread icon is not part of this code as I explained in your thread it is stylized text and not a graphic. It is not part of the folder icon set that appears in the column to the left of the thread title. Yes, that's the code I want but I don't see it for the default and 'new' icon. I don't want the text, just the icon.
So instead of a thread icon that shows a 'new' folder, I would want just a coconut icon there, as it would match the tropical background.
In the code that Craig attached, I see code for 'sticky', 'locked', 'announcement', but not the default thread icon that you always see there beside the thread topics.
And you know how you see the legend on each board that shows the icons and what they mean? I would like those replaced, just like Craig's html code, only I want those default folder icons replaced in the board legend too.

PF , Just an FYI, you should have stayed in your thread and just tagged Craig rather than return to continue the hijack of this thread, but I guess that ship has sailed so let's continue. I told you where to find it for the default board. It's the last instance of $[theme.image.XX] in Craig 's code. You won't see it called out as being the default the way the code is written. It deals with all the other possible folder icon types and if none of those apply then what is left is what is displayed = that being the default folder icon. That's the variable after the last {else}. You will NOT see anything in the code for the 'new' icon, again as I stated, because it is not a folder icon and not part of the folder group. I have a code that replaces the thread 'new' with a graphic, however it would apply to all the threads on the forum. Once you get the thread folder icons situated create a thread on the Coding Help board do deal with the 'new' text. There would need to be a special code written for this as currently the legend applies to all boards. I suggest you get the thread icons for the board situated first, then create a thread on the Coding Help board do deal with the legend icons.
