Mint? I would think that would attract them? Do you think that would be more or less effective than making a spray with Tabasco sauce?

I should have been more clear in my OriginalPost. There are literally dozens of squirrels that come and go from my yard. And there is a huge squirrel population in our community. I don't think Animal Control would bother and even if they did, they might remove half the neighborhood squirrel population but still not get the rascal who's been chewing the wires.

Early update:

Morning after the first night, lights all still working. No point in updating the thread on a daily basis, but I'll pop back in after a week or two if all remains well. Or immediately if/when any section of the lights stops working.

Update:

It's been a week since I put up the Muy Caliente string of lights. They continue to work although it's still a bit premature to claim success.

I'll report back in August (if not sooner due to failure).
