I was all POd this morning when I see a deal on AT&Ts website where 1gb speeds were available for $50 a month then they said I couldnt have it. Anyway i call them back this evening tell another guy about and hes like oh no you can get 1gb speeds with HBO max and a landline with unlimited minutes for $60 and i was like hell yeah. Which is like just paying $5 for land line and hbo max. The guy was even nice to send a $100 att giftcard to me to cover installation fees.
So glad i left comcast. 😁

Make sure you read the fine print...
They get you with the low price for X amount of time, then jack up the price to where it’s suppose to be and unfortunately for most, that’s when they learn it’s a 2 year contract.

You'd think these companies would be more honest about their prices and be moe willing to work out an honest deal considering the number of options people have.

Rare few people look at the fine print and once they get a cable/internet service they usually don't want to bother with the nuisance of changing services. Honest deal = less profit.

Make sure you read the fine print... They get you with the low price for X amount of time, then jack up the price to where it’s suppose to be and unfortunately for most, that’s when they learn it’s a 2 year contract. Can confirm. I worked as a tech support agent for an ISP for two years. We were legally required to make the terms crystal clear, though I'm sure not all ISP's are as strict on this policy as mine was. If not for ethics of it, out of sympathy for the person who could be taking that customer's angry call when their contract ended in two years. I received many such calls when I was working there. If I found out it was someone from my office who lied about the terms of the contract, I ratted them out. Being a gnark is something I'm normally against, but it wasn't fair to the customer or to me. The worst part was telling them that they'd be receiving no compensation for the lies, because it was all in the written contract they signed at installation. That's why I quit. It wasn't the company, the pay, the management, it was purely because other agents were too lazy and selfish to educate customers and I was tired of having to play bad cop. That said, definitely take advantage of those new contract deals. I live in an area where we only have two options, unfortunately, but if I lived in a city I would have no problem switching companies whenever I became eligible for another deal. It's a hassle but money is money!
