Hello Friends. I am Leo Panthera. I am teen and a very fond user of proboards. My forum is dedicated to the great cats such as lions and tigers. I post predation ecology info and historic data. My forum is also to raise awarness for the cats which is extremely important as once the lion was found from southern India to the very shores of the Mediterranean. The tiger has lost more than 97% of its population. Join me in this journey. I will welcome you very dearly.

I would just like to write a tiny bit more about raising awareness for the great cats. There are many tragic stories. The lion was found from India to Greece. Now? Only a single state in India. In the early 1900s, 240,000 lions were found in Africa but now less than 20,000. The tiger once had a vast range in Russia and China but has lost most of it now cling onto existence to just a few nature reserves. Leopard is scattered throughout its range. The jaguar has lost 99% of its range in North America. Snow leopards are heavily endangered. Asian cheetahs were once found in almost the whole of India, Middle East and many countries. Now only Iran is the last home of Asiatic cheetah. Mountain lions have been heavily exterminated in North America.
