What is the life time of messages in shoutbox?

Is the limitation on the time or Number of messages?

Is it showing messages in the past 24 hours or the last 20 messages ?

I want to have entire history undeleted. Is it possible?

What additional settings (if possible), do i need to make to keep the entire shoutbox feed intact?

The limitation on the Shoutbox is 20 Shouts viewable on the forum, regardless of the age of the shouts. The most recent 200 Shouts can be seen via the Admin panel. You can't restore deleted shouts. And the 20 Shout limit is hard-coded into the software.

Peter said he thought by using a plugin key it would be possible to store additional shouts for display in the shoutbox. He also mentioned it would be 'awkward'. Considering the complexity to do it properly, I reckon there will be rare few who have the necessary skills to take on such a project.
