StoryThis is an awesome idea, especially since it strives to be environmentally sound. Probably WAY too expensive to take part in currently, but this could be a new housing/hotel boom. Would you want to rent or buy one?

Might be fun as a party pod, but as a boat i don't see them being very manouverable, reminds me of the Bumper Boats at the fairground I certainly wouldn't like to live in one, no room for all my junk

I feel like I'd be the only one trying to trip them.

- You're at the mercy of whatever is happening in the marina. Loud parties at night, sounds and smells of diesel engines, lack of privacy (unless you want to cover all those windows with curtains/blinds), great blue heron pooping on your deck/roof.
- Then, you'll also have to have the waste system emptied periodically, fill the water and propane tanks, and worry about your moorings during storms.
- Have a dog? Where will they do their business?
- Have a heart attack? How will emergency personnel get to you in a timely manner?
- Forget any sort of ease of getting groceries.
- How will you get mail?
Nope.

Nope. Living in one definitely has a number of severe disadvantages, as you noted. But staying in one for a relaxing weekend or a few days on vacation could be fun I think.

Good idea. In theory. But it's not for the average person. Plus others piped in with other cons. If it is environmentally sound, I'm all for that. But they'd have to make it for everybody.

For this one, you can send a raven. Still working out the others.

Nope. Exactly this. My biggest worry would be the anchoring system failing during a storm and being swept out to sea. I know the article says they're designed for travel, but I don't see a way for that to be possible for large-scale travel. How do they steer? Also, how do they get to that top level? Everything on the outside seems flat and smooth.
