I understand and I respect your opinion.  I think the opposite is true too though. You are making this decision based on a big forum with everything thrown in one place. A big forum can benefit from having more boards.  Do you think your members will feel overwhelmed trying to find the perfect place to make a topic on a new forum? My personal opinion is to start small and expand as necessary. That's just an opinion. though.

I appreciate your opinion and although I am sure you have the right way to go about things. I am just kind of impatient and want final results on how I want my site to look without the growing process that comes with building a forum. I guess it's just because I am one of those people who doesn't like to make adjustments and just wants to finalize everything right from the start. I'm pretty sure that is just a fault of mine. (And although I do appreciate getting new members, I mostly just wanted to make a site specifically for me and my friends to chit chat on, although anyone and everyone is always welcome on my site of course.) Just saying my main goal is to have a site I can enjoy with my friends. Any additional members is just an added bonus.

Well, after you mentioned about having too many boards I kind of decided against making a specific board for it anyway.(Plus I do have specific boards for Movies, TV shows, etc.) Thank you to everyone who commented and tried helping with ideas and suggestions I appreciate it.

If you have a Suggestions board, or something similar where members can post suggestions, you could place a sticky thread there and let your members know that , if they find a good board for their topic, they could suggest a name for a new board. This would allow you to start fairly small (category-wise and board-wise) and add boards (if feasible) as needed. From a Moderator's point of view (I am not a Moderator here, but elsewhere), it could turn into a nightmare to moderate if there are boards for almost every type of topic. Just my thoughts.

I actually had thought about adding a suggestions board yesterday but I got so involved doing other things on my site that I forgot to add it last night. Thank you for the recommendation. I'll be sure to add one.
