Why was my thread moved?

General Forums advertising threads should be for, well, general talk style forums. If the subject of your forum is more theme based (lovers of sushi, people who like Taylor Swift, let’s talk about history, Gaming, etc.), then your thread doesn’t belong in this section. Consider putting it in Fan Forums instead. Threads may be moved at the discretion of the moderating staff.

Am I correct in assuming that advertising a forum that's about a computer game, or computer gaming, or gaming in general (not role playing) should go into the Fan Forum?
Considering that gaming forums probably make up a substantial percentage of all PB forums, it's surprisingly unclear in which sub-board they should be advertised.
