As you can see, it's gluten-free! Now, can someone please tell me: Why is this a selling point?

I've seen bottled water that was marked as "gluten-free."

It has been suggested that your skin does absorb gluten. So for those with severe gluten allergies, GF self care products have been proven to help clear up some of their skin issues.
I personally gave up gluten for a health experiment 6 months ago. About 4 months in, I accidentally bought a food product with gluten in it not realizing it, and my body had a nasty reaction to it. So a sensitivity to gluten can definitely become a real thing when you give it up.

Because of my psoriasis I need to use something sensitive. I've fell in love with head and shoulders coconut oil it really does wonders for my face and hair.

The skin is the largest organ & susceptible to toxins. I can't do gluten well myself. But just like with being eco-friendly & greenwashing, too many companies tend to jump on that bandwagon. As bigballofyarn stated, gluten free is even on WATER! Which is naturally gluten free. SMH!

The skin is the largest organ & susceptible to toxins. Gluten isn't a toxin but eating it does cause severe problems for people with celiac disease. According to the Mayo Clinic, absorbing gluten via the skin is a non-issue. www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/celiac-disease/expert-answers/celiac-disease/faq-20057879I trust the Mayo Clinic, and I doubt anyone would accidentally swallow shampoo. I think the normal reaction to getting some in your mouth would be to immediately rinse and spit. The gluten-free water thing is hilarious, though.

I think the normal reaction to getting some in your mouth would be to immediately rinse and spit. Yeah, but you'll still get to taste it for a couple seconds before it leaves your mouth. And during those seconds, your mouth may experience something incredible (but more likely the opposite of incredible). And we'll want to know all the details!

Yes, my shampoo is gluten free, made by Young Living. I also stay away from all gluten foods, as I definitely feel better without it.
