Is anyone here subscribed to any print magazines? Amazon keeps showing me this "Magazines Recommended for You" section, and I have to say it's tempting. I've got my eye on National Geographic, Discover, and a couple others. I'm just worried that if I sign up, I might not keep up with reading them and I'll end up with a stack of unread magazines and a desire to get back the money I spent on them.

Is anyone here subscribed to any print magazines? Not since many years ago. Once upon a time I had a subscription to Popular Science and Popular Electronics. Later, Scientific American. And yes, I ended up with stacks of magazines. I read them all, cover-to-cover but couldn't bring myself to pitch them. Eventually, I did.

The only magazine subscription I can recall ever having was Maxim over a decade ago.

I used to have Newsweek when I was in college. I have looked at some papers too, like the FINANCIAL TIMES and NEW YORK TIMES, but none lately.

I'm trying to get a hold of Birds & Blooms to get the subscription. Normally I get magazines from the library but with this virus, everything is limited.

Revisiting this thread, I am here to report my brilliant idea. My idea: I bought a recent copy of each of these magazines on eBay so that I can read them and find out whether I like the content, whether there's enough interesting content to justify paying (more) money for them, whether I'd be able to read them quickly enough or if they'll just sit on my bookshelf forever, etc. I will report back with results once I've received all of them.
