We've still got some places that haven't been given the 'ok' to reopen, but I heard on the radio today that our governor may let gyms reopen as early as Aug 24th. However, they have to have special filters on the ventilation and they'll only be able to open at 33% capacity.
Things like state-run casinos are still waiting for an okay to reopen.
Has everything in your state reopened yet, or do you still have some closures waiting for an okay to reopen?

Connecticut is still in Phase 2 right now, and it may reopen schools safely in the fall.

My state is mixed. Some businesses are open, while others (like some restaurants and fast food locations) are pick up only. Example, the Wendy's here in my town allows people to sit and dine, yet the Arctic Circle across the street, hasn't opened up dining room sitting.

Most things in the UK are open now. The major exceptions are live entertainment, so theatres and concerts, and live sports with crowds. Things aren’t open as normal though, with social distancing expected in pubs and restaurants, gym classes being much smaller, and masks being mandatory for most indoor locations. In a lot of these places you are also expected to leave contact details for track and trace should someone there test positive.

Here in Australia, things aren't going so well. Our national death toll currently stands at 421. Metropolitan Melbourne (where I live) is currently in 'Stage 4' lockdown until at least the middle of next month, though it could be longer. Over 600 Victorians are in hospital, 44 of whom are in Intensive Care and 32 are on ventilators. Our aged care facilities have suffered the most with 200 deaths. An aged care facility in my own town has 87 cases and it's been confirmed that 99% of Melbourne's second wave case can be traced back to return travellers in hotel quarantine.

Everything is fine so far here in Edinburgh, Scotland with most places open and a few restrictions but in Aberdeen (City) has been closed down because of a fresh outbreak of the virus.

Although you’re having a blip now in Victoria, your country has actually done a decent job of controlling the spread compared to Europe and the US. Our national death toll in the UK is over 40,000.

I really hope we can get a successful vaccine within the next 12 months. That's the only way we're gonna beat this horrible virus.

Overall, yes.
Due to some spikes, a few things like bars have been put back at the 50% mark for patrons, but the Governor has unwisely opened everything else and demanded an in-person start to schools as cases rise.

Florida is a very large state, If I drove to Key West, it would take 11 hours and 38 minutes. The state has a mix of opening stages depending on area case counts. If wearing a mask is part of the equation to whether a state is fully opened, I do not think that a state will be fully opened for quite a while!

If the Governor of Michigan had her way, we'd still be under widespread lockdown (except for first responders, etc.) and most of the population would be on the dole. (Federal of course.) Begrudgingly, she gradually allowed many of the businesses to resume operations.
Casinos here are privately owned and they were just recently allowed to resume operations at a reduced capacity (15%).
On the plus side, we get to listen to Gretchen's lectures roughly every other day.
Fast food has been doing business on a carryout only basis for several months now. Sitdown restaurants have recently reopened but social distancing has been mandated and they're only able to operate at about a 50% capacity, if that.
Libraries are still closed, as are cinemas.
The Petri dishes schools are currently slated for in-person classes the fall, but my guess is that will change soon after the school year starts and numerous new cases of Covid-19 in students occur. Fwiw, $50 million was appropriated for hazardous duty pay for teachers.
As for me, I've been minimizing my contact with the public as much as possible.

No it's not we're still on red alert although buisness are reopening like amc. I work in a hospital the critical unit has many covid paitents if you give to stores please wear your mask. I know it's hard for some. The amount of people wearing it below their nose annoy me. I hate them but wear it because we're told to. I won't believe this all will be over until there's a well researched vaccine. Don't think saftey guidelines are going away just because things are opening.

Australia's national death toll has reached 450. Death is never cause for celebration but a mortality rate that low is a relatively great thing. Johns Hopkins has a list of the number of Covid-19 deaths per 100k population for countries around the world. Oz is at 1.80, compare that to the US at 52.52 or the UK at 62.37 coronavirus.jhu.edu/data/mortality
