If you saw both, which did you like better? I wasn't a dan of the new one. I preferred the 1990 mini series. That one was scarier. But I also knew the actors and liked it better for that reason.

I liked the TV mini series from 1990, but nothing compares with the book, which I read first.

I watched the mini series when i was younger, but can't really recall much about it. I really enjoyed the recent remake though. Although wasn't overly keen on the sequel, and felt it dragged a bit.

I like both versions. Tim Curry made a great Pennywise, and the mini series did a pretty good job following the book. But, I also liked the newer movies. Bill Skarsgard was great as Pennywise as well and it was nice seeing it more brutal and not PG13 like the mini series was.
I don't think either version was better than the book, but both were entertaining and fairly scary.

He is phenomenal in everything I have seen him in. I’ll have to watch that one.

To be honest, I prefer the older TV version. The old version is by no means perfect, but the new version has a number of problems. In fact, I knew when they got the director for it that it was going to end up being kind of absurd, feeling more fantastical in the end than like an actual horror movie. Which it did, imo.
Chapter 1 and Chapter 2 had their moments, but Chapter 2 especially became kind of a parody of itself, if you ask me. Disturbing at times, but not truly scary.
Likewise, although I think the current Pennywise had his pros, he definitely had his cons. Nothing about the actor, really...he did fine...just the way he was portrayed or directed to be. He felt more like a space creature with an animalistic hunger instead of EVIL INCARNATE. Tim Curry did an excellent job being that....being the polar opposite of the Turtle.

I've seen both the old and the new versions ... and I gotta tell ya ... the new ones spooked me, LOL
I love a good scary movie, and I simply love Stephen King, as I think he's one of the classics.

Truthfully, I have never seen either version of the movie. I doubt that I ever will. I have a very rational fear of clowns due to something terrible that happened to me when I was around twelve to thirteen years old. I hate clowns and refuse to watch anything that contains them.

Can't say as I blame you there.
