Stuff you buy and never use

Is your home filled with crap you never use? I once bought a stand for my phone because i thought hey this would like of course my phone just sits next to me on my bed

I used to be bad about this but have lately been trying to be better. The last was an electronic keyboard I got at the thrift store for $5. I had grand plans to learn to play, but even with ample time during the pandemic I haven’t touched it. 😳

I obsessively get rid of stuff that I don't want or need, so I sort of have the opposite problem. Sometimes I'll sell something, and then a year later I'll think, "It would be nice if I still had that thing," and I'll buy another one.

I have a travel iron I bought to take on holidays since I have a couple of items of clothing that get really creasy in a suitcase. I always find myself thinking that it’s not worth adding to the weight of my luggage though, since we usually take budget flights with low weight limits. In 3 years I’ve never taken it out of the box.

I try to be very careful what I buy, but there have been some duds in the past. Even when my inner voice was telling me to wait. Now I listen to that voice. I had less restraint when I used to visit garage sales. It was easier to justify buying whatever as I was getting it so cheap.

Haha so true!

I like Amazon’s “wish list” feature. Anytime I’m tempted to buy something, it goes in there and I revisit it later. Most of the time, I end up deleting it.

I don't have too much trouble when it comes to buying things I don't use. I'll buy a bunch of sticky envelopes or paper clips and then end up not using very many. But it's still a good thing I bought them, that way I will have them if I am ever in need of them.

I have gotten a lot of stuff for free that I hardly ever use, like a phone stand I got from a company that came by my work place and advertised what they were about.

Rarely. Usually I only buy things I will use, even if only for a short-time. I don't think I have ever bought something I have never used.

Nowadays, I tend to buy stuff to stock up on important things that I feel like I need extras of. Though, there was at one time that I just went and bought a ream of return address labels, that I eventually had to toss out. Way too much of an investment, for little use at the time.
