i have made a new tab (user systeem) on profile page (next to button gifts). What code do i have to use to make a editable text field for each member. This is what i have at the moment: $[field_NAME] $[field_NAME_NUM] <center>$[field_character]</center> <br> <br> test $[field_weapon_0]<br> test $[field_weapon_2]<br> <br> {if $[field_spellist]} magic spells: $[field_spellist]<br> {/if} greetings, hardwarejunkies hardwarejunkies.boards.netAttachments:

Out of curiosity, how are you accomplishing this? Those are not legitimate template variables, so unless you have some javascript defining what information those are supposed to pull, this won't work.

Oh, I see. Unfortunately I haven't had any personal success with this plugin since my themes are too customised, so I'll be unable to help. Sorry! Hopefully someone comes along soon that can lend a hand (:

Is there another way to do it then? any tips? In theory, but I need to understand more about what you're doing and why. I can give multiple suggestions / ideas, but if I don't know your purpose they might not be appropriate for what you're seeking to do. Mind giving me some context on what you're hoping to accomplish, and for what purpose?

There is a help thread for this plugin (though it has not been posted in for many years now) but there may be information available that could point you in the right direction: support.proboards.com/thread/468228

Our forum is made for hardware lovers, the meaning of that tab is that every member can fill in there PC hardware they own. for example like this cpu: ryzen 7 1700 ram: crucial ddr4 3200Mhz motherboard:MSI b450m gaming itx etc etc... What i marked red in the picture above thats where the text field has to be, where every member can discribe there systems. (so other members can see there User system in there profile on the "user system"tab. Sorry for my bad english. i hope you understand what i mean now. Something like this on next attachment Attachments:

Hi,
Why don't you just use custom profile fields? Admin>Members>Custom Profile Fields.
Example: Field Name: CPU Type: Text Area Location: Member Profiles Only Who Can Edit: Member and Staff With Power
Make a Field like that for each part that you want listed and it'll display in the members Profile once they fill it out.

Michael for clarity they have their own custom fields but are using wormo's plugin to put it in its own tab. this may be silly but what exactly is the issue? remember that guests (excluding PB admins, due to their internal tools) cannot see member pages. i suspect the reason this isn't working is that you aren't correctly configuring the plugin; im not certain but it would help to see a screenshot of your plugin settings.

ty for the feedback. But i allready turned that plugin off. The issue is: the thing that micheal stone did works great, but i wanted to have that in a own tab on profile board. Its only for information for members when people have trouble with there PC. Or want to upgrade there PC. Then the TS doesnt have to post there system in the msg.

So to clear up some misunderstanding, it seems: if you did not have custom profile fields before, the plugin you were using would not work. You need to create the fields first and then use the plugin after, as the plugin looks for the fields you created to function. So, now that the fields are created, if you follow the instructions provided in the plugin, it should work! (:
