From your Admin panel, navigate:
Admin Home> Themes> Colors & Theme Creator and use the Scheme tab.
Select the DF2 theme from the dropdown to the right of Current Theme
Click the button that looks like this:


A popup will appear:



You have two places where the text color is #000000, the same as the background color. You'll want to change that. (Fwiw, background 2 and text 2 are the colors for every other post in a thread.)

When you have your colors adjusted to your liking, click the Apply Color Scheme button at the bottom of the popup, then click the Save Changes button at the bottom of the page or the Save Theme button near the top.

Ok, I think we're nearly there. There a couple of issues though.
First issue: If you go to the front page and click on any of the links under Weekend Games (Fri 18 Sep - Mon 21 Sep), the first post, which is mine, is blacked out although it is there. The first reply, by Scouse, is in the color I selected by following your previous post.
Issue 2: It seems that whatever text color I choose for issue 1, the same color text appears in each members' profile.

I haven't come across anything else just yet. Thank you for your help and time up to now, I really appreciate it.

You're repeatedly defining elements with a color of #000000 (black) and a background-color of transparent (which will render the background-color of the parent container). This is not a problem when the theme has dark text and a light background. But in the DF2 theme you have light text on a black background.

The transparent background-color of the elements in the post are allowing the black background color of the theme to show through. And you're specifying black as the (text) color of the elements in the post. So you get black on black. Your post is doing exactly what you're telling it to do. Don't tell it to do that! lol

This is normal. If you want the posts to have a different color and background-color than the members' profiles, I can guide you through the Visual Editor to accomplish that.

I think I'm getting a little confused with the whole thing. Basically, I want to know where in the settings I can find how to change the background colors of the forum, that is, the posting areas. In other words, if you click on any link on the front page, it will take you to a white page with black text. They are the colors I'd like to have control over. Please have a look at the default theme to see what I mean.
