Locked Announcement border removal (Completed)

Hello, I was wondering if there was a way to remove the border from a locked announcement thread? I have looked through the entire library of templates and codes and didn't see anything specific for this. Here is an example of what I'd like to remove (see the arrows pointing to the lines in the picture). Also, I am wondering if it is possible to change the color of the separator bar between the announcements and the sticky threads (see where I've marked in the picture)?

Hey Becca I think I can make some simple CSS modifications to achieve both of your goals on that but it would be easier if I can see it in-situ so I can use Inspect Elements in my browser. Shoot me a PM.

Okay, here we go. Pick ONE of these two and place it at the bottom of your Style Sheet. Either will remove the vertical borders and allow you to control the color of the 'divider'.

This one is what you asked for.
/* Remove right borders and style bottom boarder for Last Announcement */
.threads .item.announcement.last > td{
   border-width:0px 0px 10px 0px;
   border-style:ridge;
   border-color:#552244;        
}
/* End of Section */

This one ALSO adds a similar border to the bottom of the Last Sticky.
/* Remove right borders and style bottom boarder for Last Announcement and add a bottom boarder to the Last Sticky */
.threads .item.announcement.last > td,
.threads .item.sticky.is-last > td{
   border-width:0px 0px 10px 0px;
   border-style:ridge;
   border-color:#552244;        
}
/* End of Section */

The third value for border-width is for the bottom border. I kept that at 10px but you can change that to suit your tastes.

I changed the border-style to ridge but you can change that back to solid like the original if you like.

I guessed at something I thought would blend well for the border-color but you can change that.




fwiw, somewhere around line 915 of the Stock ProBoards theme, the borders for the cells in the Last Announcement are defined. It has the right border (second value) defined as 1px. That was what was forcing the vertical borders in that row. We could have just changed the values in that line but I like to put the changes at the end of the Style Sheet so I can keep track of things.
