Marvin The Martian

Greetings. It's me, Kapt~`'- For real. No, I'm not back, nor am I staying. I received some bad news today and thought I should share it with the people here that will remember Marvin the Martian. Sadly, he passed away on September 19th of a failed heart. He was a good guy and will be missed by many. He hasn't posted here in quite a while, so the newer members won't know who he is. The members that have been around a while might remember him. That is all. I just thought some of you might want to know. RIP my friend! Take care all

I remember him well. I am very saddened to hear of his passing, and thanks, Kapt, for letting us know. He was a great guy and a wonderful member.

I messaged him last night asking him where he's been. This morning his brother told me what happened. I'm sad. We kept in touch all these years and talked often. He was my friend

It was in good heart of you to return and let us know, yes i remember the Martian, Marvins more then likely out there floating around space exploring new planets. It's good to know you're alright yourself kapt.

Kapt, thank you for coming back and letting us know about Marvin. I was just talking about him over the Labor Day weekend at a funeral I was at. I was talking about his desire to be cremated and turned into fireworks and shot off when he dies. He was a smart and fantastic guy and I have missed him being here since I returned.

I hope he is at peace and that his family knows how much he was liked and enjoyed by people around the world. Thank you again, Kapt.

This is very sad. We were never really friends and didn’t always see eye to eye, but he was a good guy who put a lot into helping other people here. Another member of our community gone too soon.

I took this photo of my project and really liked it, except that I wasn't paying attention and caught myself in the shadows. Tavis removed me (my shadow) from the image and sent it to me. He was helpful like that. I miss him 




Oh, and I LOVE that car!!!!

Every time I hear of a member passing, especially one that I remember from my early teenage years posting, it never fails to make me extremely sad and super aware of the passage of time. Much love and peace to his family.

I didn't have too many chats with Marvin, but he did help me out once with something I was trying to achieve, so for that I will always be grateful.

Always sad to hear when we lose one of the community, even if they haven't been around for a long time - their legacy continues.
