Shadowland - Life/Liberty/Evolution

Hey all, would love your feedback on my forum, Shadowland.

It was originally founded by Smashing Pumpkins fans as a place to discuss the band and anything else....but it has since evolved over time into more of a general group. The Smashing Pumpkins is still discussed in its own forum, but there is a whole community to discuss life, politics, spirituality, philosophy, health, and anything else.

Hi!

Firstly, any news/announcements/rules forums needs to be at the top. Yours seem to be at the bottom, which imho, makes them more easily missed. You want to make sure it's the first thing people see.

Also, your layout is a bit basic, but not necessarily bad. I find it a bit... monotonous, though. The text is purple, the gradients are purple, the board backgrounds are purple... I also find your background a little distracting, and the background/header don't seem to match with the purple, I'm not sure where the purple is coming from. It might help to look at some themes if you find something else. At the very least, tweaking the colors/background might help a bit.

Other than that, the forum seems fine otherwise. I hope this helps.

The thing at the bottom is a chatbox, not really any announcements. As far as rules go, it's a very libertine sort of place.

The purple - it's just a general theme. Shadowland...shadowy....purpley...greyish.....that was sort of the idea. I've looked at themes but didn't really like any of them.
