Thank you Proboards!

Hi all,

I just wanted to take a moment to say a HUGE thank you to Proboards. An old forum I created 15 years ago is still online while so many other similar forums have fallen by the way side. Even after large lengths of time passed by with little activity, it's been amazing to think it's still there - somethings being used and referred to.

Old friends come knocking every now and again and it's such a joy to see that the old board is still sitting there presenting the history of our gaming clan from back then. Proboards, you made this possible and helped me take a small idea and build it into a big thing with lots of other players, friends and ultimately our community.

Back in 2005, there were few FPS games that captured my interest but I came across a Vietnam war shooter that captivated me. After I completed the single player campaign and missions, I bungled into the multiplayer servers and was truly in love. There was so much more fun to be had and as I came to know the community and saw the 'clans', I realised there was room for something different - a clan that acted, sounded and looked a bit different. So Clan of Minh was born. Google us - our website is still live too. Central to creating, advertising and recruiting for the clan, we needed a hub - a meeting place - to build our community. I found a free option with PB and so it began. And we will always be grateful!

ProBoards has always been the go to place for me, to get good service, for the features that is pretty good, for free. I have always been glad that ProBoards never floundered.

I've been here since 2005, and the forum I created in 2006 is still active as well. I can relate to you so much. Proboards has been part of my daily life for almost 15 straight years. The friendships I've made over the years are stronger than my offline friends sometimes. Because of my forum, I've got friends in almost every continent, in dozens of countries. I've learned a lot of empathy, and a lot about other cultures because of people I've met through Proboards.

First off, congrats. Not many forums 15+ years old are still active.

ProBoards is probably my favorite, since it took me less time to learn their features than other forum software.
