Forum URL: pulsemusic.proboards.com/Hello guys. Although I filed a report about this issue in November of last year and everything was working fine a week later as you could be read here, the issue with the search function is back in the forum. Recent threads and posts, as well as the recent results since mid to late December, don't appear. I would like to know if I can request another re-index to be done in the forum to solve this issue or if there's anything else that it could be done additionally to this to know the reason of this glitch. Thanks in advance!

Hi A re-index should be done for you later today which should hopefully fix that for you. If you continue to have problems, let us know.

Hello guys, Apologies for the delay of my reply, but I appreciate that you submitted the re-index in the forum two days ago. However, I've seen that there's still an issue, similarly to the one I mentioned later last year, as you could read it here. Although the threads and posts that were done before the re-index appear using the search function, the new ones that were done after the re-index don't, which is very odd. For example, these are two threads which are in the same part of the forum. • pulsemusic.proboards.com/thread/201773/• pulsemusic.proboards.com/thread/201809/The first one was created on January 11 and if I write 'saxe' without the apostrophe, the thread appears in the search, as you could see this here. However, the latter was created on January 12 and if I write 'whoopty' without the apostrophe, the thread doesn't appear in the search, as you could see this here.

Hi,
I've changed which search index server your forum is attached to, lets see if that makes any difference for you.
I also submitted a fresh reindex of posts. It may take some time for everything to take effect so I would check in on it in about an hour.

Hello Michael, Thanks for your reply. It's good to know that you changed the search index server of the forum and you submitted a new re-index of posts to see if everything works better now there. However, I'm wondering if it takes effect more than an hour instead. The reason why I'm telling you this is because there's still the same issue with the new threads and posts after the the re-index was submitted. The last thread that works using the search function is the one below, which has this title: Sir Chloe - "Michelle". • pulsemusic.proboards.com/thread/201829/The subsequent threads that were done after the aforementioned don't appear in their respective parts of the forum and they are the following [as of January 14 at 1:10am. EST]. • pulsemusic.proboards.com/thread/201830/• pulsemusic.proboards.com/thread/201834/• pulsemusic.proboards.com/thread/201835/• pulsemusic.proboards.com/thread/201836/• pulsemusic.proboards.com/thread/201838/• pulsemusic.proboards.com/thread/201844/• pulsemusic.proboards.com/thread/201845/Taking into consideration the "Michelle" thread, I created two test threads (one is locked, while the other isn't as you could see them here and here) with the same name as the original and I added the word 'test' on them to differentiate all of them. I tried using 'what to search' and 'where to search' with the word 'chloe' and the original thread is the only one which gives me results, while the two new ones don't. • Search for posts with at least the word chloe, in the boards Alternative, Rock & Triple A, made by Everybody, and display results as threads: link• Search for posts where the thread title contains chloe, in the boards Alternative, Rock & Triple A, made by Everybody, and display results as threads: link

Hello Michael, Once again, thank you for your reply. I checked the threads in question and I've seen that the search function is working on them, but I've also seen that this isn't working on new threads. To complement this point, I have these two threads that were created on January 14 as examples. • pulsemusic.proboards.com/thread/201854• pulsemusic.proboards.com/thread/201855The former, which was created at 11:47am. EST, appears using the search function [ link], but the latter, which was created at 12:54pm. EST, doesn't appear [ link] and this applies to the subsequent threads that were created after that. I'm wondering if there's a cut with the new search index server and they will appear a day later and not immediately as it should be. Anyway, apologies for all of this, but I hope there's a promptly solution to this issue.

Hi,
Thank you for the additional information. While I've poked and prodded and tested and I think I've made hopefully some difference, I'm going to need to have someone higher up dig further into this. I will update this thread when I know more.
