H1 tags are repeated

Whichever active thread I have open has the same H1 tag (cabbage fermentation and souring forum)

If I have a thread about carrots for example "storing your carrots through extreme weather conditions" It will be assigned a H2 tag which is of little SEO value.

If I were then to search for "storing your carrots through extreme weather conditions", Google would not find this because it is tucked away as a H2 title with no keywords from the H1 tag.

I thought I might get around this problem by assigning a H1 tag for the active thread page.

Obviously this will cause a problem of having two H1 tags on the page which Google does not like.

My question is How can I make the main H1 tag be ignored when an active thread page is open and being read?

In other words I want each individual thread title to contain keywords that will be found in the text that is posted under the thread title.

Is there a code that can deal with this?

I think this was made prior to the other conversation
No help required.
I have managed to get all my pages including home and board index pages to have a H1 tag.
I am just using the default setup but added a H1 in the 'home' section of the layout and templates.
I put this line at the very top. and used some css to hide the text.
