Thumbnail images for board categories.

Need assistance on how to add an image for Categories?



I have 5 different Categories and want to add images for each one.

When I first created my forum, I could add them but have lost all but one.

Now I can't remember how to add them back or insert new ones.

Perhaps you've entered the BBCode to display a unique image for each board in Display Name field of the About tab of each Board Properties. If so, that should look similar to this:

Which will display like this (in the Board List on the home page and the Title Bar of the board).


From your Admin panel, navigate:
Admin Home> Structure> Categories & Boards
Click on the desired board (the background color for that item in the list will turn a pale green).
Then click the Edit Properties button at the top of the page. A popup will appear.

Remain on the About tab, then click anywhere within the field beneath Display Name.
Select all (Ctrl + a) then Copy (Ctrl + v).

Then Paste (Ctrl + v) that into a post in this thread. We can examine the BBCode and there's a small possibility we can get to the actual image that URL links to, and you can re-host it on another service or upload it directly to one of the themes on your forum.
