I do appreciate Proboards and their staff, it just appears I didn't do my homework.
I have a very successful forum on another platform and when I tried to add a 2nd forum to their platform, I found their rates increased over 400% which proved to be to much for me.
After days of looking at the limited number of "reasonable" online forum creator sites, I selected Proboards which seemed to have a very reasonable cost and the features not that I wanted but that I had to have.
My mistake was not realizing they measured storage in MB. I don't remember storage being measured in MB for years. The storage for my site that I have paid for No Ads and Domain Customization now requires an additional 73.50 per month for 10Gb of storage. Due to the nature of my forum, it will have the potential to easily use 5-10Gb due to users uploading their photos. I am aware they can use a photo storing service but tell that to the users who for the past 10 years load Instagram and FB with their photos instantly. So for about 80.00 a month, I end up getting what others charge 35.00 to 50.00 per month. The forum requires the photos uploaded to be viewed years to come since they will have many DIY type how to's.
Bummer, got the forum all built and was getting ready to launch. Now its time to take it all down and stop the bleeding.
