Please create a plugin to handle hiding threads. I want the board to be accessible by all members and guests. However, I would like to hide a specific thread in that board if the subject line of that specific thread contains certain keyword. For example, if the subject of my thread contains @hide@
then I want to hide this thread from guests. If the subject of my thread contains @delete@
then I want to hide this thread from everyone including members and guests, except admin. Forum URL: bepviet.proboards.com/Mobile view is disable, so only desktop view is used by all members. Thank you. If the subject of my thread contains @delete@ then I want to hide this thread from everyone including members and guests, except admin. Hi, vui123ve. Is there a particular reason you want a plugin to handle this on a per thread basis? Board permissions can already accomplish this much better than a plugin can as long as the thread is created in a board that is restricted from guests, members, etc. The problem with trying to hide something through the use of a plugin is that the thread already exists on the page before the plugin runs and is fully accessible regardless of whether or not the plugin removes it afterwards. Enforcing this restriction through the use of board permissions will actually prevent those threads from ever being seen or accessed when you intend to hide them.

Yes, handle per thread basis. I have a gossip board that is accessible to everyone; however, members need to hide their own threads from guests on some sensitive topics and allow only members to read/reply. All of us don't want to change this board to accessible by only members.
Also members would like to be able to delete their own thread if they are thread owners, they don't want to ask forum admin to delete.
The workaround I also think is to allow members to move their own threads to a private board if there is no way to allow members to delete their own threads. Anh I need help with all the features I mention here.

However, it is a one size fits all deal: if they can move or delete their own threads, they can move or delete everyone's threads. There is already a plugin that you've discovered and queried about that accomplishes the hiding content aspect you desire, but I really must echo Brian's recommendation for using board settings. Opting for a plugin as opposed to built in security features is akin to having a solid door with a deadbolt but expecting the screen door to keep people out.

Hi, I found the solution to hiding posts from guests and replying to see posts.
However, I need 1 more feature which is to automatically move a thread to a private board or make a thread invisible to everyone when the thread owner changes the thread title to a specific key word such as @delete@ or via an action to select from the action menu arrow down.
Forummotion has this feature. I like Proboards better. This is the only major feature that Proboards is lack of.
Could you please help?

Plugins are not allowed to automatically move threads/posts. 2. As stated, a plugin that hides the thread does not really make it invisible - as the content is still there if one knows where to look. 3. Plugins do not currently run on mobile - so anyone on a mobile device can basically just bypass the plugin and still see the thread. If you're wanting this as a feature, I'd suggest making a feature request thread in the Support Board. There's no guarantee that it'll be added, but that's the best place to make a feature request.
