What Can I Tell the Members ...

... that Proboards is not shutting down ... everyone got the request for donations, and now I have people asking me if we're shutting it down if Proboards doesn't get the donations ... other than the message we received is there anything else I can tell them to reassure them that Proboards isn't going anywhere ... thanks ...

You can point to the bold line in the message that says
"Our forums are not going away, but we need your help. "

if they're dissatisfied with that response, tell them to come here and verify with PB admins directly.

You can also point out that ProBoards is hard at work on v6, actively and ongoing; this is the next version of ProBoards, so there's no point in developing a next version if the service is shutting down. But at the end of the day, all services require money to operate. No one is obligated to do so, and PB does still get revenue from other sources, but the more revenue they receive the more they'll be able to work on elevating this service beyond what it is today.
