What was the first car you had after passing your driving test? Was it a really nice one that you saved for maybe? Or was it a bit of an old banger? I had an old bright green Austin Allegro and to this day I'm not quite sure how it managed to be legally on the road. It was a bit of a monster.

It was a 1997 Ford Aerostar. Honestly one of the most reliable and long-lasting vehicles we ever owned. I drove it to school during my last year of high school; I took out the middle seats and replaced it with a rug, a futon, and a TV and it turned into a great place for me and my friends to hang out before and after school. At first I wasn't sure how I felt about driving a minivan as my first car, but it turned into a lot of fun.

1988 Chevy Celebrity. Super cheap and easy to drive by the time I finally got around to getting my license as a kid.

1972 Ford LTD. They actually had to move the traffic cones that they had placed along the street to make them wider to fit that car between them for my parallel parking test.
THE CAR WAS 19 feet long, V8, and weighed 2 tons!

And it wasn't a super awesome big LCD or anything, just a little boxy kind of TV, but it was still a lot of fun. If I still had that van I'd probably like to use it for camping or something. It would have made sleeping in my car in college a lot easier, too.

Mine was a 2007 Scion tC, manual. Was a fun little car. Would never own one, or anything like it, ever again... but fun at the time, lol.

My first car was a 1987 Mazda RX7 that I got it shortly after I got my license. Which was in a very snowy January.
For reference, the car was a rear wheel drive sports car with no traction control (at least not that I can remember; if it did, the car was from the 80’s so it couldn’t have been very good) that absolutely no 16 year old with very little driving experience should have as their primary car during the winter. But hey, I survived!

1995 green Ford Tempo. My dad bought it for me after I graduated, and we worked together on it for 8 months before it was safe to drive.
That one broke within 2 years. Blown head gasket. The next car was the most beautiful blurple 1997 Firebird with T-tops. I bought her myself. Sadly, since Pontiac parts are hard to come by, she became irreparable in 2013. But boy. Boy did she fly wonderfully.
