Hello everyone!!
I just realized, I've been here so long but I never actually posted about me. I think I was here before this board became a thing haha
Anywho! Hi everyone! I'm Sarapha, but also known as Ashley. I'm 30 years old, a wife of 8 years, and a mother to two children. I also recently found out I am pregnant with my third, but am still early enough along that I haven't actually told anyone yet, except you fine people!
I love reading, writing, Role Playing, gardening, crafting, spending time with my husband and children, and all sorts of zombie apocalypse prep. Not to say that I go insane and have armed myself to the teeth, but general survival skills like growing my own food, harvesting, preserving my own food, things like that.
I've been on Proboards since November 2006, when I happened upon a HPRPG that was a year old and already in the process of dying. I was there for a month, found myself unhappy with the inactivity of staff, so I created my own HPRPG. That opened Christmas Day of 2006, and I've been on nearly every day for the last almost 15 years. I've made some of my very best friends through my forum, meeting members over the years and forming very strong friendships. As far as Support, I've been here for a lot of years, too. For a number of years, I was mostly active in the GOAYB section (get opinions about your board), where I critiqued boards and offered advice. I'd like to start that up again sometime soon. I came in second for an award so many years ago for it, but I can't remember the award or who had put it on.
I enjoy Support. I remember the days when it seemed like General Chat had the news faster than news stations did. I remember the great debate when it was switched to "Generally Chat" for a spell, and we all tried to decipher what the change meant. (My favorite was the one who suggested it was "General-Lee Chat" and only talked of the general.) I remember the time before we had plug ins, where if you wanted to have a side table on your forum, you had to put all of the coding in the Header and Footer, and one wrong character would break your whole forum. I learned so much about coding because of having to do that. I remember the time before you could assign a user to multiple groups. Tallying up statistics every month took forever haha Back before there were sub-sub boards. Before you could move individual posts.
I've been here for a long time haha
