I can't stand the heat and anything over 30c I will get a migraine attack, lucky enough here in the UK where we live we are lucky if we get over 30c once in a blue moon summertime. I grew up in Australia with the heat and it was because of that (heat) I had to return back to the UK as a hospital doctor specialist in Australia told me that the heat here in Australia was not good for me when it reached over 30c as it would bring on an acute migraine attack. The hottest I have experienced out there was 49c when I was working with the country road's board tarring roads right in the heart of the bushland in Victoria, I had to wear a yellow plastic coat with a helmet so I know now how a fried kipper felt, never again. I would have died, they would have had to scrape my carcus off the asphalt Caajscot (John).

After yesterday being at 42c. and today getting as high as 45c. I think I can pretty much verify that summer will never be my favourite season. I heard on the news this morning that lots of ppl lost their pets due to this heat wave of not leaving them water, ac, and/or fan to help keep them cool. So sad, I for one am glad I'm off work during this heat wave to keep my furbaby safe and cool. We've been between our room in front of the fan, the ac in the kitchen or down stairs in the basement. I for one cannot wait for this heatwave to be over with so we can go back to our regular temperatures, I do really miss autumn, winter, and spring though, although I am starting to wonder what winter has to offer if this is what summer gave us. I won't lie to you.... your username drew me to this thread... Like.. wow.. Also we are at 89 degrees but not in Celsius

Not sure about you up north, but we haven't had our normal summer down here. We usually get a good prolonged period of unbroken sun and temperatures mid-late 20's and usually a few days over 30, where it will turn any patch of grass desert-like. But apart from a week at the start of June, it's been pretty much overcast most of the time, and temperatures in the teens. Very unusual.

It's been hotter than usual where I live as well, and we just entered July! Hopefully we have already seen the worst of it.

We have had a few hot days, but mostly it was cool in the early mornings, and got warmer late morning. But it was nothing compared with some peeps here. Just a pleasantly hottish summer's day.
Only 2 more months to go before Autumn !!

Only 2 more months to go before Autumn !! I'm counting down the days...however our autumn's have become nearly as hot and humid as our summers. I miss those crisp, clear, days when you could smell a wisp of wood smoke on the air.

November usually brings on those kind of days, Dianne. It's the perfect last month of Autumn: stormy, gloomy, foggy... aaahhh...

It's been triple digits many days in a row now, and I think I've finally begrudgingly accepted we're in summer now. We did just recently get a new HVAC system and solar put in, and thank goodness for that, because on some of our hottest days it gets near 120. Also, only slightly related... summer bugs. All the nasty creatures come in. I'm happy to just move straight to fall if everyone is good with that.

Kay, I am with you. Lets skip Summer and move from Spring straight to Autumn. In fact, if it were up to me, I would skip Spring as well and just have Autumn and Winter. LOL

Warm and cloudy here in Scotland but we have the 2nd floor flat window open and there is a lovely cool breeze blowing in from the Waters of Leith here in Edinburgh.

During our recent "heat bubble" in British Columbia it got up to 43C/108F. Even with 2 ac's and 21,000 b.t.u. it was still stuffy in my home. Now we are surrounded by wildfires and I can't even see the mountains from my home due to the smoke. And of course my insurance company has taken this opportunity to increase my fire insurance. lol
