After yesterday being at 42c. and today getting as high as 45c. I think I can pretty much verify that summer will never be my favourite season.
I heard on the news this morning that lots of ppl lost their pets due to this heat wave of not leaving them water, ac, and/or fan to help keep them cool. So sad, I for one am glad I'm off work during this heat wave to keep my furbaby safe and cool.
We've been between our room in front of the fan, the ac in the kitchen or down stairs in the basement.
I for one cannot wait for this heatwave to be over with so we can go back to our regular temperatures, I do really miss autumn, winter, and spring though, although I am starting to wonder what winter has to offer if this is what summer gave us.

Autumn and Winter are my favorite seasons. (or course I liked winter more before I got older and felt the cold more!) I really dislike summer. We here are having a heat wave also. Depending on what part of the country you are from...at the most us in New England may only get up to about 99 degrees Fahrenheit. But with global warming, winter just isn't what it used to be.

I wish it were the last day here. I just received an excessive heat warning due to a heat index of 107*F / 42*C.

Suffice it to say I'm looking forward to the weekend, and not just for July 4 reasons.

Like Dianne, I am an Autumn/Winter person. I don't like the heat, the sun, or the early morning and late night light. I love the short, gloomy days.
Strangely enough, I did prefer the summer when I was young, but the older I got, the more I preferred the cool/cold seasons. Only another 2 months to go till Autumn... π

The only thing I love about summer is the fresh tomato's.

I can't stand the heat and anything over 30c I will get a migraine attack, lucky enough here in the UK where we live we are lucky if we get over 30c once in a blue moon summertime.
I grew up in Australia with the heat and it was because of that (heat) I had to return back to the UK as a hospital doctor specialist in Australia told me that the heat here in Australia was not good for me when it reached over 30c as it would bring on an acute migraine attack.
The hottest I have experienced out there was 49c when I was working with the country road's board tarring roads right in the heart of the bushland in Victoria, I had to wear a yellow plastic coat with a helmet so I now know how a fried kipper felt, never again.

You sure couldn't move anywhere in this country then -well maybe Alaska or Maine. We've been having weird heatwaves this year in the Northeast where I live (New England) and horrible dry heat in the middle (think the dustbowl) to the the dry fires of west coast.

Thanks for the link, but that one is for the UK -I'll find one for the USA soon! Oh never mind I figured out how to set it for what I needed. Thanks so much. It's a cool site.

Summer's my worst enemy, with it getting hotter every year eventually we won't even have a winter anymore. No, it isn't, you're so right! I kept myself entertained thinking of so.e crazy naked lady running threw ppl's sprinklers in the neighbourhood. ππ€£

Oh oh bigballofyarn, you got the scary temperatures now, close the windows and curtains Don even open a door unless you have to and keep the fans and AC's going. I have heard of some places going as high as 45c to almost 50c. π± That's just outright scary, I hope I never see those high temps again but I'm not holding my breath.
