Hi folks, non-coding newby here.
I had to set up a forum a week ago due to another closing down and I'm glad I found ProBoards, as the set up was pretty damn faultless, so thanks for that.
Now I have issues with either members who are having difficulties logging in (because of their own lack of experience with ProBards, the previous forum was phpbb) or others, who want to get in touch with me as Admin; if they're not logged in, is there a plugin available, or can one be made, to allow them to state their issues/problems on a form and email it to an admin email address?
I tried to add a Custom Page, but even if it's simple coding it's beyond my current abilities (non-coding newby, as said above) to work out what goes where with zones and widgets.
Thanks in advance for any help.

this may be a silly question, but have you considered a guest-friendly board for them to post on instead?

If we had friendly guests, that would be fine, but many in the first few days posted just to snipe, so I chose the Guest must login option. Sorry, for clarity: there is a "Guests Must Log In" option, and there is a board setting that requires users to be members to see, read, and/or post — which one do you mean? If you mean the "Guests Must Log In" option, which is where the entire forum is locked behind a login page, i don't think a plug-in will be particularly helpful if someone is having issues logging in as they wouldn't be able to access the forum to submit the form. That said, if you're having trouble with rude guests, Im not sure if my solution would work. The only way I can think of to fill your request is to create an email form that sends to a particular email address; but, if you already have guests being rude, that might present further issues. If you're willing to take another stab at a guest-friendly board, the Post Quarantine plugin will allow you to manually approve entries before they're visible to reduce the appearance of nastiness. Of course that does require a bit of extra elbow grease from you / your staff team. Let me know which option is more suited to your needs, and Ill supply the method (:

Thanks for your input, Kami, but I've sorted out a custom page in the meantime, using just as you suggested: "The only way I can think of to fill your request is to create an email form that sends to a particular email address;".
A bit cheeky, but while you're there, how does one add a description under the forum name in the header?

Lovely, glad you were able to manage it! Do be careful though as sometimes there's no captcha / human use verification on the pre-generated forms you can get at various places online, so you might get some spam to that email address (: And there isn't a built-in way to do it, are you comfortable editing HTML? (Note that if you have multiple themes you'll have to do this per each theme you want the subtitle to appear on).

(Note that if you have multiple themes you'll have to do this per each theme you want the subtitle to appear on).I'm reasonably comfortable and can always search if I have problems, I only have one forum and therefore one theme, it's knowing where to do the editing. Gotcha! Just had to ask as some folks aren't comfortable with HTML and get intimidated with the steps. As an aside though, you can have multiple themes for forum so having one forum doesn't necessarily mean there's only one theme, which is why I asked (: So go over to admin > structure > layout templates. You'll be presented with a list of links. Click the one that says Forum Wrapper. Click into the text box, and press CTRL F (if you're on a Windows machine) or CMD F (if you're on a Mac). Search for the following text, exactly as written here: $[forum.title]Under that, you'll see a tag that looks like </h2>Click into this at the end of that closing bracket and press enter to create a new line. Add the following: <h3 class="forum_subtitle">Forum Subtitle Here</h3>Of course, change up Forum Subtitle Here with whatever text you want to appear. Then, save your changes. You should be good to go from here, but if the font size is not to your liking, that can be fixed. To change subtitle font: - Navigate to admin > themes > advanced styles & css
- On the following page, find the tab that says stylesheet and click it
- Scroll to the bottom of the textbox; once at the end, click in to the textbox and create a few new lines
- Add the following:
/* Change Forum Subtitle Text */ h3.forum_subtitle { font-size: 1.2em; color: #ff0000; } - Replace the values for font size and color with whatever values you wish. Notice that the font size I used has 'em' instead of px — you're welcome to use a pixel amount here, but using em will pull multiplier off of the base font size (so 1.2em is 1.2 times the size of the base font).
- You can also add any other CSS properties here, though for the sake of legibility I recommend keeping it simple.
Hope this helps!

Aargh! I spoke too soon.
I did a test site to make sure it worked before I applied it, and the following are the results.
1. As it was before any changes:
2. After I added the forum_subtitle by copying your code:
3. After I then added the styles you suggested, to see if that helped:
As you can see, there's a problem, I was expecting the subtitle to be aligned beneath the title.

A quick by the way - what is the plugin on ProBoards support that allows a popup view of an attachment when one hovers?
