I am always looking to meet new people and learn about new games to play! What is everyone playing right now?
I'm currently in love with Final Fantasy 14 its beautiful and so immersive!
What are some of your favorites and why? What are you excited for?
Personally as above i'm a FF junkie so i'm excited for FF16 AND the prequel. I'm also looking forward to the open world pokemon game Arceus Legends! It looks beautiful! That's also like a prequel to the entire story!

Right now I am replaying Resident Evil 4, after playing through the first of them. I can honestly say I love them beyond reason! Even the bad ones I will play through. I also love Mortal Kombat Series I am very excited to see what they come out with next. It is something I love to track and see as well.

okay Resident evil is a really great series! I've played them all. Some I liked better than others, and the remakes were pretty great too, but I think RE1, Code Veronica, RE2 and RE8 have been my favorites! I like how they made that mini Netflix series to kind of fill in the blanks of what was happening between games. They really could do that for all the games honestly. I Hope you enjoy Re4!

I haven't really played games since the PS2 days. Last games i can remember playing were Burnout 2 and Timesplitters. I don't have great vision, and the newer generation games i can't really process very well. I just have to enjoy them vicariously these days.
Favourite games i used to play, i would list as Burnout and Sonic. Good memories playing those growing up.

I haven’t been into game much for a while, with the exception of Pokemon Go as a mobile game. I was playing Sea of Thieves quite a bit last year, and the next big release I’ll be playing is Halo Infinite later this year.

I've been playing Pokemon Unite on the Switch. It's a MOBA (Multiplayer Online Battle Arena). I've never played a MOBA before until PU but I've been enjoying it! My main is Zeraora, I'm only at level 8 and only at Beginner Rank. I've lost about three matches since I've started playing but you can't win them all. Other than that my personal favorite franchises (besides Pokemon) are Sonic the Hedgehog (hence my display name which is my YT channel's name too and avatar), Mega Man, Tomb Raider, Spyro the Dragon, Final Fantasy, and Super Mario Bros. I also play Pokemon Go daily.

It is kind of relaxing as well.. Me and my young son get lost in them for hours at a time.

Most recently I've been playing Death's Door. It has a pretty cool aesthetic, lovely music, and has a good balance of difficulty without being frustrating. I didn't really know it existed until it released, and has been a pleasant surprise so far. Also Overcooked 2 co-op with Minime is pretty fun - would not advise playing this solo! Otherwise I mainly enjoy racing games, and am looking forward to Forza Horizon 5 later this year. Also looking forward to the next Gran Turismo, assuming Playstation 5's are easily obtainable by the time that comes out. I haven't really played games since the PS2 days. Last games i can remember playing were Burnout 2 and Timesplitters. Aww, you missed out on Burnout 3? That one was my favorite in the series

At weekends I'm replaying the Elder Scrolls series, currently on III, Morrowind. Beautiful games and ridiculously complex is you try to do all tasks for rival guilds. And the user created library is vast for when the main game is finished. Daily it's Gameloft's Asphalt 8: Airborne (for 7 years now). Great game but they royally messed up the game economics. What was a free mobile game now requires WiFi for most things and is P2W. The number of pop-up ads makes it nearly impossible to play if you don't spend some money, $1, so almost P2P. I won't harp on for too long I know it's not the place but... <Rant>A couple of years ago GL increased in-game currency costs by 400% and reduced rewards by 1000% to 2000%. This has since gotten even worse. They capped and removed user resources like saved boosters. Special events now cost $25 (every two weeks), without a guaranteed win, even if you put the hours in you'll need to spend more. If you do win the car it can take a year to upgrade. If you don't win the new car they something put them up for sale afterwards, @$99 for a top model. The list of grievances goes on and on. Every update just introduces new bugs and glitches which they're unwilling or unable to fix (common legacy software problem). Top that off by the corporate restructuring. Most of Community Care has been replaced by the HelpShift bots. Then they closed and deleted all GL run Forums in preference to Discord, which they mostly ignore. Hence our renewed presence on Proboards.</Rant> A8 is still a great fun game but now designed for Whales and new players will find it very difficult to progress. I've been playing since Pong and I love a good game but IAPs are a real downer for me. My view is, here's some money, give me a disk with ALL content upfront. Call me old fashioned but I do like a boxed disk with artwork, manual and maps and stuff

I did play a bit of that when i visited my uncle. Think we got it about 30% complete. Now in return i am sporadically playing the game with my nephew, and got 60% completed over the past year. Yeah, slow progress. But i agree, it's a great game. Think the 2nd was my favourite though.

I know theirs a fine line with emulation when it comes to the legality of it but it works just as well as hardware if your PC is up to date. Sounds like you'd be more into indie games which is why I'm saving money towards valves new SteamDeck. Or you could give simulators a try I hear power wash simulator is super satisfying. But some of the calmer games out their over enjoyed are title like Detroit become human, last of us or any real heavy story based game. I know it gets alot of hate but honestly cyberpunk is okay. I generally do play some call of duty with old friends online. But generally into calmer heavy story types.

CheatAreZee, another racing game fan here. Did you buy the Forza 4, LEGO Speed Champions expansion? Good fun. Favourite racing series will always be TrackMania (Nadio/Ubisoft). Basic no-name cars and exquisite physics but the track building and sharing facility is second to none.

I used to play it a ton on the OG Xbox back in the day, but I'm pretty sure it was on PS2 as well. CheatAreZee, another racing game fan here. Did you buy the Forza 4, LEGO Speed Champions expansion? I played Horizon 4 a ton and do have the Lego expansion, but I wasn't too big into that - but then again I didn't really care for Lego when growing up either (Knex ftw! [do people still 'ftw' anymore?]).

[do people still 'ftw' anymore?]). Depends on your ftw definition. Lego played a big part of my childhood and I passed it on to my kids and much younger nephews. Always enjoy. BTW all those lovely Americans out there, Lego is a mass noun. You don't say Legos in the same way as you don't say sheeps. But I agree, the Burnout series was always fun. My youngest thought Crash Mode was hilarious. Not as funny as the mini-games in Flatout.
