Hopefully this makes sense to all.
I've seen at some other board, a fading preview for large replies/quotes. Rather than showing the entire reply/quote (if it was large), it would only show so much of it (for example, a paragraph or two), and if the reader was interested, they'd have to click on it to see the rest. It was fading in the sense, it was normal text at the start, but kind of faded out towards the cut-off where it wanted you to click to read more.
Taking that idea, I would like it inside a forum section. Rather than simply listing all of the thread titles, I would want a preview: Author, Title, and a Paragraph of what's inside the thread. Is this possible?
Long story short: We're a sports community, looking to better showcase our original content. Long run, maybe we'd want a more professional-looking Articles Page, but the NFL season has crept up on us. This would be kind of a happy medium for now. It separates the original content for us as we want, but ideally isn't as time-consuming as literally making an entire new page/layout, etc.
