That's beautiful work wildmaven I have been between keeping busy working, working at home looking after my dad, and making time for my friends and feeling depressed that I just don't have any time for my hobby (crocheting). Not even half finished blanket I am making sits folded up top my shelf, I hate looking at it.

For a long time I had been working on a site/service to provide text adventures/RPGs. I developed a very rudimentary game/story engine years ago (over a decade?) and built upon it greatly to create something passable more recently, with robust authoring tools and whatnot. My plan had always been to target the PB RP scene and pitch the service as a way for admins to jazz up their forums by allowing members to have "singleplayer" experiences crafted by the admins. Collaborative storytelling is cool and all, but if you want your participants to really inhabit the worlds, you need to let them explore certain areas and have guided experiences.Sadly, I'm coming to terms with the fact that the project is more than likely dead. I missed my window to take it seriously and the work involved going forward won't be justified by the outcome, I'm afraid. C'est la vie.I've had a couple little projects here and there, too. A digital card game. A very basic digital personal assistant. Most recently, the very early planning stages of a possibly episodic starship adventure/sim game. I just don't have the time or creative inclination to see anything through anymore.

Excellent painting, wildmaven! Hmm, I suppose the main thing I've been working on is organizing/purging my house. Donated a large box of clothing, some kitchen items, a box of books, and a few other odds-n-ends that were no longer serving a purpose. I got new totes for the storage room (mostly holding holiday decorations) and tidied the shelves, as well as two other closets. Now I pretty well know where everything is—everything has a designated "place". I also finished decorating one of the bathrooms (six years late). Although my house was never very messy or unkempt, these little projects have been occupying my mind for a few years. Now the house feels more orderly and I can relax a bit, haha. The last thing is to sort out the top shelf of the pantry, which accidentally became a catch-all for random items. 2021 and 2020 have been rough... I feel those of you who are too tired or short on time to work on projects.

wildmaven I wrote every day of the month, except for November 30th. Not safe to drive and write! By the end of the month, I had over 80,000 words and over 140 pages. And I'm still going. Wow! Great job! I'm on pages 84, 5, 7, 20, 13, 21, and 16 of my novels. That's beautiful work wildmaven I have been between keeping busy working, working at home looking after my dad, and making time for my friends and feeling depressed that I just don't have any time for my hobby (crocheting). Not even half finished blanket I am making sits folded up top my shelf, I hate looking at it. If it makes you feel better, I have a blanket that I started crocheting in the 90's that's still 3/4 of the way done. I'm sorry that all that is keeping you away from your hobby. Remember, to best take care of someone else, you really need to keep watch on yourself, and that includes making some time for things you love. (((HUGS))) For a long time I had been working on a site/service to provide text adventures/RPGs. My parents just moved to WA state to an assisted living facility. My sister, brother and I had to completely empty their house, sell their car, fix up the house for sale, and get it sold. Not only was it a lot of work, but it was also emotional. I'm so glad you now have an orderly area in which to relax!!

Thanks! wildmavenI am technically on various pages of the other novels too, but I haven't actually committed any of them to hard drive and computer yet. They are scattered on notebooks all over the place. But maybe this will continue to inspire me.

As someone who has refused to touch anything related to Facebook, I have to say I don't have any idea how my project would mesh with the Instagram scene. I'm completely ignorant of the creative aspects of the service. I do appreciate the idea, though.

I paused the TV on a commercial so that I could draw the woman in the ad because I loved the way the light was hitting her face.

Thank you wildmaven your words are much appreciated, now I don't feel bad I had a shoe box FULL of dish clothes so I gave them all to my coworkers and out of all of them I had one coworker who loved them so much she spread the word to her hubby who then told his sister who then told someone else etc. So, now she wants to start me off with ten and more to follow later. After all these years crocheting dish clothes and nobody wanting them finally someone who appreciates them. As for the other coworkers who grabbed some, not even a thank you.

Did they know they were hand crocheted by you? Sometimes I post something and people ignore it until I make it clear that it something I actually did. Hey, congrats on that one coworker! That's fantastic!

That's fantastic! It's one of the things I posted on the box along with Merry Christmas on the shoe box I brought them in. Yes, thank you! I picked up a roll of cotton 2 days ago and now I'm on a roll of making ten dish clothes.

I’ve finished my movie space, which I will have to get a pic of when I’m at home again (posting from work right now). But it’s fulfilling that I got that worked out.

A few weeks ago, I gave my tortoise a magical, Christmas wonderland. I'll have to work on taking down his decorations in a few days.
