I spent five hours yesterday drawing this. What’s the latest thing you made (besides a bodily function ) or are currently working on?

I got frustrated at the lack of a functional Sims 2 mod that prevents the butler from cooking meals (some mods exist for this purpose, but they don't work properly), so I learned how to edit some of the functions in the game's coding and created a mod that actually works correctly. Long gone are the days of the butler leaving 20 plates of food all over the house

Thank you so much! I don't draw people very often, so I was very pleased at my progress. I got frustrated at the lack of a functional Sims 2 mod that prevents the butler from cooking meals (some mods exist for this purpose, but they don't work properly), so I learned how to edit some of the functions in the game's coding and created a mod that actually works correctly. Long gone are the days of the butler leaving 20 plates of food all over the house When I played Sims, waaaaaaay back when it first came out, I was tired of the way they looked, so I edited the graphics in MS Paint (!!). I wouldn't dare edit any of the other code, I'm too much of a n00b for that, so kudos to you for being brave and taking that plunge!

I've been working on a Shopify-alternative for about 2 months now, specifically for people making small-batch goods that are being sold locally. I got the idea when visiting a coffee shop in my area that started selling donuts from a small company that was only making donuts a few times a week and only were selling at this coffee shop, and thought.. what an interesting business model. So I've been spending a bunch of time trying to figure out a bunch of use cases that I want to be able to accommodate, which has been a fun creative outlet I haven't had in awhile.
wildmaven That is beautiful! I always say I want to try to exercise my art muscle more as a new-years resolution, but I always fizzle out shortly after because I am too much of a perfectionist that I have a hard time following through when something isn't exactly how I want it.. ha.

That sounds amazing! Small businesses have notoriously been passed over by the e-commerce giants. I would love to find one that includes promotion. Most e-commerce platforms provide you the tools to sell, but not promote, making it next to impossible for starting businesses to be heard and seen. I get you. I won't even show my work in progress to my husband. It has to be finished before he can see it. The beauty of digital is that it's so portable and you're not wasting money on materials you may never use again, so you can try all sorts of techniques. I currently use Procreate for my iPad Pro and Apple pencil.

I'm horrible at art, so good for you for doing something artistic. It looks great! I decided to try my hand at NANOWRIMO this year. I have been saying that I will do it for ages, but I have actually made the time this year. Eleven days in, I'm still writing daily, so I'm hopeful I can keep up the habit...even after November.

Yeah, the promotion thing is actually something that I had thought about as well. The example of the donut shop gave me the idea of small-batch makers having the opportunity to list themselves on the company's listing under some categories specific to their goods, as well as offering their goods on a "marketplace" of sorts that would let other people to find other makers with goods that fit with their niche and set up some sort of "I'll scratch your back if you scratch mine" situation.
Someone without a physical store could get their goods into a physical store and the physical store could take a fee for selling them in their store or whatever they may end up negotiating. Win-win for both parties, really.

That's gorgeous! I love it, amazing work. Right now I'm working on boring stuff. I finished my tenth book earlier this year and I decided that before I keep working on any more I'm going to make sure everything I currently have is polished, that I've got solid marketing plans, maybe write some short stories for them... basically just make sure I'm satisfied with everything I've got before adding even more to my plate. Then it's back to the writing! Maybe next year I'll plan my schedule so that I can actually do the bulk of it during NaNoWriMo rather than burning myself out beforehand.

That is so beautiful! Truly, I'm in awe The number one thing I'm working on is my third child xD I'll be 29 weeks along tomorrow, so I'm just over 2/3 of the way finished with this 'project' Aside from that, I'm also working on several handmade Christmas gifts for my husbands siblings. I have *far* too many mason jar rings (I'm a home canner, and I swear these things multiply at night, I have a million of them), so I'm wrapping each in twine, then putting cross stitch fabric, hot glued into the ring. I've cross stitched little human figurines to represent each of their family units and the year, so they can have them as Christmas ornaments.

Right now, the main thing that I am working on is a new movie space where I can put all of my DVD's (my collection is tame compared to what die-hards have, but it's still a few boxes and four plastic cubicles full).

Someone without a physical store could get their goods into a physical store and the physical store could take a fee for selling them in their store or whatever they may end up negotiating. Win-win for both parties, really. The licensing here in California is insane for small businesses and all art shows/markets require you to have one unless it's a consignment shop, which I have considered. Also, here in this town, competitors have been known to report you if they find out you don't have a business license, even if all you're doing is selling at a small, annual show. The recent sales tax requirements for online sales, which used to not be taxed, are mega restrictive. That's gorgeous! I love it, amazing work. Right now I'm working on boring stuff. How'd it come out? I just started to create my first website ever. Watched tons of videos on this topic and finally decided to give it a try. Were you successful? Coding makes me itch. wildmaven and others ZC stands for Zelda Classic and I Jason have been working on a ZC 2.53 quest namer Super Caesars Palace II and after I am done making Super Caesars Palace II I will make with RPG Maker MV on Nintendo Switch Super Caesars Palace III You always were good at that kind of thing.

wildmaven I wrote every day of the month, except for November 30th. Not safe to drive and write! By the end of the month, I had over 80,000 words and over 140 pages. And I'm still going.
