What do you use that's still physical

Otherwise, digital life has consumed me. I still have DVD's/Blu-rays, and a DVD/BRay player, but I re-bought most of my movies on Prime, or watch it on HBO Max if they're on there. I can't stand not having everything digital anymore. VHS was annoying to always have to wait 5 minutes or so to rewind. DVD's scratch and start skipping, same with Game CD's, etc.

Camping was mentioned, and I guess that would be it since digital fire isn't the same as actual fire. lol.

I have a cabinet full of blu-rays and even regular DVDs...haven't used any of them in I don't even know how long. A few of them are relics of my past, like the Chamber of Secrets DVD I have- I'll never get rid of that. But some of these random used blu-rays I've acquired...they can go right in the trash and I wouldn't even notice

Yeah, I bought the bluray set of harry Potter, Jurassic park, and a few others, but thats mainly for wanting it physically, but wouldn't be put into being watched. I'll buy it all on Prime eventually. There are a few DVD's I got when I was a teen, and watched it a few times, but haven't touched them, just in my DVD case.

I will not lie. I am Millennial (1991).. So technology has definitely spoiled me. However, I LOVE to fill up journals with random poetry and thoughts..
I use Dip Pens (fountain) and usually thick parchment notebooks to fill up.
I love doing it to be honest.

But that would be my physical thing.

For me, videogames. Digital seems alright but I prefer having the case and disc on hand because if they remove a game from the digital store, I can always reinstall and replay the games straight from the case. Plus I like the look of the game cases on my shelf. This is just a fraction of my ps4 and ps3 games from a few months back. It's grown since then. lol

Right I hear some game consoles are closing down stores of course there's a way around it but due to legality of it won't mention much but I'm sure being a gamer you already know what I'm talking about.

Right I hear some game consoles are closing down stores of course there's a way around it but due to legality of it won't mention much but I'm sure being a gamer you already know what I'm talking about.

Yep I know exactly what you're talking about. lol I actually started rebuilding my ps3 collection after selling it off a few years ago during the beginning of 2021 and watched the prices skyrocket for physical copies of a lot of ps3 games when they announced the store closing. Then when they reverted the decision, a lot came back down but quite a few I need still stayed around the new going prices. Folklore and 3D Dot Game Heroes are 2 because they are both ps3 exclusives. I also invested in a usb 1tb harddrive to download my entire ps3 and vita/psp library panicking lol

I just put in a 1tb drive in my ps3 to add some ditial content but apparently 3rd party controllers won't get past the recovery menu which sucks I refuse to pay $20+ on a used ps3 controller just to update the drive lol

That's the main reason I like to have DVD's of my favorite shows. It also saves you from boredom if you are somewhere without Wi-Fi and want to watch something, you can do it with a portable DVD player.
