adhd assessment

Hi

Is anyone able to recommend a local private ADHD assessor that my GP is likely to accept a diagnosis from. I have been trying to arrange an assessment for months…I’m worried about paying a lot of money to find my NHS GP won’t accept the diagnosis.
I am in the Bromsgrove area. GP has been unhelpful so far with any advice, and just say I have to sort it.

Any information about where to get an NHS approved ADHD assessment for my daughter (aged 18 so therefore adult services) would be very much appreciated.

Hi Helen! I'm wondering if you're perhaps in the wrong place to find what you seek. This is the support forum for ProBoards Forum software and it's highly unlikely that we have a member local to your area who also has first hand knowledge of what you need. Your best bet is asking your GP which provider they prefer. Good luck in your search.

Only thing I can think of is in Redditch. Not an assessment centre but good advice www.worcestershire.gov.uk/directory_record/4852/disability_support_project_-_information_support_and_advice_for_disabled_people_and_their_families.

It might also be worth trying to get a PIP assessment.
