I like most of the alternatives just as much as cow milk except soy milk and milks by that Silk brand because, to me at least, they have an unusual taste no matter which one. As far as coconut milk, I don't mind it but I'm kinda indifferent to the way coconut can completely power over the taste of things. I'm a coffee addict but there's been times where I've regretted adding coconut milk. I'm sure there's great uses for it outside that. Not to be confused with coconut water. In something like a Thai green chicken curry it's gorgeous, on its own, it's fairly revolting stuff. I always wondered how anyone could drink it so casually because I can hardly stand a single sip. At least coconut milk on it's own can be decent or tolerable. |
