Like on the forum here where it disables the OP from replying to their thread in certain boards for a set time.
Having the message on the posting screen and quick reply would be great, too.
NEW: Bumping for this board is now only once every 24 hours. Complete rules for this board can be found at: Plugins Request Board Rules.

Having the message is a simple template modification, you can add a text message in admin > structure > layout templates > thread > quick reply (tab) and in admin > structure > layout templates > posting page > posting page (tab).

But wont that show on all posts/replies? Also I need to find out how to stop replies for 24 hours to the threads in that board, like they have here.

I can't provide you with the plug-in they're using here since it's not publicly available as far as I can tell; I would personally ask in the Support Board if the PB admins would be willing to share it.
Alternatively you could try: - www.proboards.com/library/plugins/item/660 but i don't think it's quite what you're looking for.
Re: Templates, my apologies, I assumed you were more familiar with templating. You can restrict the message to appear only on a specific board if you so desire by targeting the board ID, and can further restrict it by only showing the message to the thread creator. If you need more guidance than this, please let me know.

Don't forget, I've been out of the game for 5 years. It's slow getting back up to speed.
The advert board for the forum is: webmastershaven.proboards.com/board/35/advertising I would like "No bumping until 48 hours!" to be in the reply/quick reply field if possible would be good. I do have the board description showing nice at the top of the board list, so that's one message to the people.
I'd really like to see a plugin for the stopping replies until set time. That would be very useful. Could you move this thread into the support board for me, then, @kamiyakaoru ?

I'm not a mod, but because there's a couple of trains of thought here, I'd just recommend starting a new thread in the Support Board asking if the stop replies plugin that's active on the advert board is available for public use.
I'm at work today so give me a bit to iron out some of the details and I'll get back to you on the template modification (:
