Hi All, This is in regards to this post in Support: support.proboards.com/thread/669800/put-trivia-feature-on-forumsI was advised to post it here instead. Here is the context: ************* I'm interested in doing a trivia/quiz night on my forum. Preferably, with some sort of plug in. I Googled the topic and though I found requests for it, nothing concrete that made sense to add to the forum. So I'm bumping this subject again, with hopes that someone can help me construct this. If it's done manually, how are you doing it? If it's a plug-in, what's it called?

Hi All, This is in regards to this post in Support: support.proboards.com/thread/669800/put-trivia-feature-on-forumsI was advised to post it here instead. Here is the context: ************* I'm interested in doing a trivia/quiz night on my forum. Preferably, with some sort of plug in. I Googled the topic and though I found requests for it, nothing concrete that made sense to add to the forum. So I'm bumping this subject again, with hopes that someone can help me construct this. If it's done manually, how are you doing it? If it's a plug-in, what's it called? This is rather vague, as you are missing many key elements, such as: - do the scores need to be tracked? if so, do they need to be available for all to see, or just the user? - how is the trivia/quiz set up? is it multiple choice, fill in the blank, etc.? - how is it to be presented to the user? (example: via popup window) - how is the trivia/quiz to be initiated? - can someone who's already done the trivia/quiz do it again? There is a lot that has to be accounted for in coding. Details are extremely important. Examples or mockups of how it should look/act also help. Without details, you could end up with coding, or a plugin, that doesn't do/work like what you envisioned - which means that the coder would need to go back and make (possibly) many changes - which typically ends up wasting time for both you and them, when details could've resulted in what you're looking for the first time around.

You also need to keep in mind that plugins and template edits do not work for mobile devices, so if your forum members use mobile devices, they will not be able to participate very easily.
