I didn't know feature phones were even a thing anymore. They are for me, and not just because i'm pld I've been using my Sony Ericsson 750i for many years, it's on payg, i don't use it a lot, but it's handy when i'm out and about It costs me about Β£3 a year to run, and the battery lasts just over a week between charges, i don't need a smartphone, 'm smart enough choosing this phone

I had to look it up. My Grandma uses flip phones still. Never knew they were called feature phones.
But my Grandma's flip phone has 4G LTE. But it's what she is used to, and has tried our smart phones, and can't get the hang of it.
She only would use it to talk on the phone. I mean she's 82 years old. She barely gets on her laptop for Facebook maybe once every other week without me. But when I'm over, we check everything out and I scroll for her on facebook for family pictures and what not.
But yeah, my Grandpa was the one that did all the technological things over 10 years ago.

Can't remember the model number but it's got the little screen inside the lid. Bought it dirt cheap as a PAYG phone for music festivals. Very handy 'cos it's small, has a key ring type attachment, I can download a few maps, numbers and the festival program before I leave home and i won't mind much if I break or loose it, also as you say the battery lasts for "ever". I'll be dusting it off next weekend for my first fest since Covid.

I miss it when cell phones were just phones. I miss going out and actually seeing people talk. And I'm worried for my life every time I get out on the road because of all the texting. Can't do anything without someone taking a pic/video and editing it too-this is both good and bad I suppose. And yes I am an Olde Pharte.

And yes I am an Olde Pharte. I think you are "pretty poggers."
(Apparently I am too, but I had to Google what someone said to me.)
