Year 1995
During one fateful night, Kazuma Kiryu, known as the legendary Dragon of Dojima, was found in the office of his patriarch, Sohei Dojima, standing in front of the shot yakuza while holding the very same gun that killed the man. This sent the underworld reeling. While the Dojima family had been in decline, the news of a high ranking yakuza killing their own patriarch was unheard of. The ranks began to quiver and break down, leading to the shaky foundation that shook the Tojo Clan for ten whole years.

On December 5th, Kazuma Kiryu was released from jail and found himself back in his home in Kamurocho. However, ten years has changed the city, for the better or worse. Masaru Sera, the chairman of the Tojo Clan has escaped several murder attempts after the entire clan found out about ten billion yen going missing and Sera hiding the issue since it happened.
The Tojo Clan is in turmoil as the powers that be try to seize power from the chairman by retrieving the missing ten billion yen. With the return of the patriarch killer, the fate of the largest yakuza clan in Japan is in flux. Anyone could change the future of the entire underworld, but in the process they may also face death.
