What do you do to relieve stress? How do you de-stress after you've returned home at the end of the day? What has worked for you?

To relieve stress, I draw, watch YouTube videos, go outside and get into nature, play with the basset hounds, or scroll through my Twitter feed which I've cultivated into a calming space full of other lovers of nature with no political nonsense. How about you, tjward?

wildmaven I will normally read. Reading is a great stress reliever because it gets my mind off of whatever it is that is stressing me out. I happen to like reading anyway....it's a good form of entertainment (for me, anyway).

I read. I write. I watch TV. I play with my kids. I take walks. I listen to music.
It just depends on my mood and what opportunities I have.

Normally I will change out of my work clothes into something more comfy/soothing and turn on some music. That is my main go to destressor. Other things I do for stress relief is color, draw, paint, read, take a bath, play a game or work on a puzzel.

What do you do to relieve stress? How do you de-stress after you've returned home at the end of the day? What has worked for you? I re-read a beloved series or particular beloved author's. Nothing new tho. If that doesn't work I take an mild anti-anxiety pill. *shrug* What can I say? I'm from a different generation! My generation generally relied on pills for everything.

Whenever possible, I try to deal head-on with the thing that's causing me stress. Often this means contacting someone or doing a task that I've been putting off for too long. I don't always have the power to fully resolve the situation, but I still find it useful to bear in mind that there's usually at least something I can do to help reduce the stressfulness of whatever the situation is.

Doing something outside. some gardening, or walking around downtown, hiking, or just being outside in general. Getting sunlight and exercise has been so beneficial to my mental health that it's my immediate go-to. Throw on some airpods while I'm on the trails or something and I am in heaven. Even on rainy days, I still love being outside...the rain creates a completely different kind of mood but it's still nice to just....be in

What do you do to relieve stress? How do you de-stress after you've returned home at the end of the day? What has worked for you? For me it is all about music, or reading... I drum so I just get out all my frustration behind the kit and ensure that I sweat it out as much as possible.

I can rarely actually let loose, but in the middle of the crowd screaming my favorite songs at the band while jumping up and down like a maniac is just so soothing to my soul

Usually a deep breath or two, followed by watching my favorite YouTube videos or television programs.

Exercise (even if just going for a walk), breathing techniques/meditation, video games, TV/movies, and music. Sometimes talking about what is stressing me out also helps!
